I need to replace the neck and wrist gaskets on my Kokatat drysuit. Rainy Pass is quoting $200 for all of it, plus a month to do it. Anyone else know of another alternative, besides sending to Arcata?

Take it to Leavenworth MT Sports. If you aren't heading that way, send it with someone that is. Call about pricing for parts and labor, plus you get it back within same week. Def a heck of a better deal than Rainy.

Cool, I'll look into both of those. I don't have the time or the inclination to do it. I did my own years ago and wasn't too happy with the results.

Kayak Academy in Issaquah also repairs drysuits, if you don't do your shopping at Aquasports....

I've used this technique on 4 gaskets and they're all bomber. Do it yourself, it's worth the added skill set.

Yeah, I agree w/ Jed. Do it yourself and save the time, money and hassle of outsourcing it.
Take the time to learn to do it right. You will save time in the long run. Give a man a repaired gasket and he'll be dry for a season. Teach him how to fix his own sh*t and he'll be dry forever.
When I've done it all I did was print some instructions out from Kokatat's web site. No videos, no pictures, just one page of typed instructions. Followed them to a T and my repair was bomber. I was patient and did not proceed until I had everything I needed and reviewed what it was I needed to do. Then it didn't take long when I actually did it.

I'd send it into Kokatat I just got a neck and two wrists for $70 with shipping.
