Now that the wenatchee is getting low, I still have cravings to surf. The girly and I are heading to westport this weekend with boards in tow. Anyone that wants to join is welcome.

It's a fun change switching over to warmer(slightly) water. If you can't surf, try then grab your playboat, its a helluva time.

Gear rentals are cheap and camping is fun at twin harbors state park, running around a beach half lit.

See ya out there.

I keep an eye on the ocean, but one thing is a must: offshore winds. Two feet, ten feet, I don't care, just have the winds into the waves!

I hope those conditions show up soon, haven't been on my board in months.

I hear ya, sometimes you just have to accept sh*tty waves to get on your board. The girlfriends first wetsuit came in last night and she's itching to go. We're planning on westport but may switch up if somewhere else looks good enough.

We were out there a couple weeks ago.  It reminded me of Pleasantville, but it's perfect for families.  We went with a few other families and stayed at the group cottages with the common area...it was one of the more relaxed trips I've been on...with the kids.

Yeppers that is why we are going to. 10 adults and 8 kids... all the kids are under 5 years old.

Should be interesting. I don't expect Relaxing to be the quote of the weekend though.

We had about the same amount and ratio...so I guess relaxing as far as young kids go.  It was nice to put the kids to bed and walk 20 feet to the communal fireplace,  bike them to the pool, hike to the beach, etc.  Didn't drive the car for four days either.
