With all the buzz around wooden paddles I thought I would share something I just came across. Dude down in Oregon is making wood helmets.

Jeff Snyder, founder of squirt boating and progenitor of modern playboating has been wearing a wooden helmet for years. Along with a wooden pfd/breastplate. I'm sure his came first.
These look nice. I wonder how strong they are?
