by incessantly watching kayaking videos.

If anyone suffers from this affliction, or something similar such as boredom, or has made the poor choice to be stumbling around the internet instead of the thick and prickly underbrush at your favorite portage, I offer you yet another vicarious dose. But really, you should probably go outside.

I can see how you guys did CF Cowlitz with 4 portages. Pretty stout boating! Nice video!
What level did you guys have on Icicle?

yeah, I get a little tired watching go pro footage facing the paddler... I'd rather see whats down river than water splash every time the bow dunks and some dudes funny expression when they plug.
STOMPERS RULE!
glad to see that I'm not the only one to break a backband on this boat though... let IR know as they seem to think the issue is rare!  They should hook you up with some new rachet straps.  Then take the time to drill new holes closer to the teeth and that should fix this issue.  I broke three rachet straps in almost as many days!

Ever try rolling without a backband?  And they always break when you need them most....

That was entertaining.  What drop is that around 8:00?

thanks for caring.

If i remember correctly, Icicle was around 1800 that day. That was a bit much for me, and we scurried away at the halfway point in Ricochet.

The drop around 8:00 in is Dragstrip on the EF Miller. It was burly and gave us both pretty authoritative smackdowns. Still, such a cool section of river, though the run as a whole has quite a bit of dealing. Anyone know anything about the section below the big slide (smoothie)? Just looking at it made me want to take up knitting.

Ah, the Stomper. A boat with so much potential, but troubled. I love how they paddle, but frankly, their durability seems a bit sh*te. And not just the outfitting, which I understand was subcontracted out.

Anyway, helluva state ya have there.

Cheers,
Ben

Great clip Ben! Glad you guys had a great trip. EF Miller looked like you guys had good water.
