Just a feeler. Nothing exciting but could be quite stunning with fresh snow. Anything works with me as far as time and whatever reach whoever wants to notch.

Cameras and whiskey (or rum) make the trip much more worthwhile at these temps and flows. Pretty nice place to be after some fresh snow, IIRC.

Just remember your skirt. Sometimes, when driving a slalom course around fallen trees while evading the law just to get to the river..a guy can forget his skirt.

ME?! ME?! YES!

Oh sh*t, wait..no, because I'm in Minnesnowyfrozenassota. fu*k me, is it spring yet?

Ok, I'm done hijacking your thread, but you have to understand how depressing this is. You can only do so many pool sessions before you go crazy. On the plus side, all the creeks are ski-able so it's good for recon..small consolation.

My guess is you're skiing them so you get a jump on the new creeking SUP craze.

Just be happy you have a good snowpack. It oughta be better than my first 2-week creek season out there (2010) as long as it melts right. A few more weeks of penance- no wait, I mean skiing- and you can be baptized by Illgen once again. Hang in there! :)

BTW, how are they coming with rebuilding the dam on the Louis? Just one river, but without the dam it can go for most of the summer. MN Sky?

Word is it should be finished in a month or so. Boo. This was an awesome summer on the lower though, I'm doing a rain dance for just enough water to knock that fu*ker out again (without flooding people's houses). Long season in the thousands and then good flows through the summer with water in Slot Machine. Only downside was that Fin required big boy pants for most of the summer, one of the few times I've wanted less water.

Mike, I think we boated once together but I can't remember where.. Any plans on heading to MN for the spring?
