This is going to be the last week that we get to paddle the middle middle of Snoqualmie during mid-week due to paving projects on middle fork road. The first phase will close weekday access until October 2014. Weekends could also be a pain, with estimated delays of 60min to run shuttle and elbowing other rec users trying to get up the road, it would make sense to just head elsewhere.

In addition, construction for the housing development on Tanner road should start firing up some day in the future. Once that place is choked with manicured lawns, SUVS and soccer moms I doubt the local ambiance will be very friendly to half naked beer drinking river folk hanging out in the streets. Who knows what will happen to access there.

Most of us Seattle-area boaters rely on the MM for our weekday fix, so why not give her a proper send off? I propose a weekday after-work run followed by beers at a local North Bend institution (kind of remind people that paddlers buy things in town so maybe we should get a little love when it comes to access...).

It is forecasted to be really freaking nice out this week (Thursday may be close to 80 degrees!) and river levels should be in solid low-flow fun range.

If there is any interest we can cobble together a day/time and a time/place for an after-lap meetup.

I may take Friday off so a midday run would work for me . Not sure I can get out after work at except possibly Thursday .

Courtney and I may be up for a paddle. We haven't been in our boats a lot lately, so we may back out if it gets too high.
