This clear high pressure system will keep the clouds away and the moon is pretty full. Yeah it might also get kinda cold later tonight but thats what drysuits are for.
So who is down? It is a perfectly user freindly level for moon lit boating. About 6,000 last time I checked. So plenty of water. Much less rocks to hit, more water to illuminate by the moon. It should be just like paddling in day light so long as the moon is above index and BD is not in shadow.
Some of these boating trips are simply unrepeatable. One of a kind and magical.
So who is in? If you got my number text me otherwise send me a PM asap- like by 11pm
Might want to be loaded up and ready to jet out of seattle or wherever you are driving from by then, too. It may be a right after dark kind of thing if the moon is highest then. So I am sorry for the short notice and tomorrow night could be an option too but then the Sky could be like 9,000. So really tonight is the better flow bracket for this to still be a casual thing.
If you are interested then give me a holla. I'm ready to make this happen with a minimum party size of 3 boaters.
Not planning on making much of an online discussion regarding this. Contact me for further details if you are sincerely motivated to kayak the skykomish under the full moon tonight.

Update:
The moon is looking to be suitably high up there and stoke is equally high with at least one other motivated boater...
So this is last call on this invite.
Anyone interested should ping me in, like, 15-20 min at the latest.
This is definity a "be pretty damn sure you aren't gonna swim" kind of trip, no doubt. I plan on stopping to get a peak at BD just to assure me that its all lit up in moon glow.

Bump (Because last nite was so awesome.)
So I am gonna throw this invite out there again, just in case there is someone out there who is competent to run BD at 6,500 +/- under the full moon, and also has the opening in their schedule to make it happen. Last night is destined to be among my Top Ten list out of the 150+ day trips I will do in 2014. Tonight probably will be too.
I think I have a dedicated companion for tonight, which is all I need to pull off a safe trip. Safety is paramount, no doubt. The bigger the group the potentially more unsafe the trip will get. That is the equation of night boating.
If you are interested and can take care of yourself out there (know you most likely will not swim) then contact me tonight.

Contact me tonight by NO LATER THAN 9:30pm. And hopefully you are loaded up leaving Seattle by no later than 10:00pm. It would be ideal to meet up there sooner than later. Contact me for further details.
But keep in mind this detail:
I plan to use alternative access points, but nothing that is gonna be a pain in the ass. It will be roughly equivilent in duration to the Index/Split Rock stretch, but the put in and take out will be elsewhere. So contact me for details because if you just roll up there you will probably miss us.

Ok, I didn't expect any takers inside such a short window.
It could boost up toward 8k by midnight but I doubt it. Still it is on the rise somewhat.
About 20 minutes or so to chime in if you want to go. If my bro looses inertia and bails, well at least another Homeboy and I got it last night. I could enjoy some hours not boating tonight just the same. But one motivated companion or two and I will rally.
