Last year there was a messy logjam immediately downstream of the Bridge that's served as the put in. Just below this put in is an island you can see. The left channel is dry-ish and cobbly, and the right channel is the primary channel, dropping more steeply and taking most of the cfs with it. The log jam was a short distance downstream of the head of the island blocking this whole right channel.

Mandatory Portage. Best executed by portaging on the island or, if there is enough water, scraping or lining you boat down the left.

However, these rain on snow events we've had- have they scrubbed out the Suiattle? Or have they added more wood? I havent been in there since last summer. Its possible that left channel could be different if floods scoured some gravel out...who knows? Im just speculating

Downstream a ways there was another riverwide hazard, a spanning tree across from bank to bank. Duckable on the left, but its shallow and boney. Again, this could be gone or there could be other wood.
