Yup, brand new gate, probably the land owner, but the old combo lock is still there. ------------- Nomad |

That's funny. Bill, I was trying to give you quiet credit. Ok, this was my clumsy attempt to get it out there. Never been known for my gift with words.
Anyway, the new gate is a thing of beauty! It is my understanding that the improvement was made by someone in the boating community, with the Carter's permission. It is a gift to many....the Historical Society, the property owner, the neighborhood, to all of the visiting public, and to all of us cheap ass boaters. On another note, I understand an informal request has been made that folks in the boating community make a good will gesture throughout the year and assist with trash collection along the trails at at the rivers edge. The effort would be especially appreciated during the cliff jumping season. Sounded like a great opportunity to give back. |

I was there for the cleanup, but didn't see anyone there. I was on my dirt bike and did pick up some garbage...I think the cleanup was a bust this year.. ------------- Nomad |
