Anyone interested in running the lower Whitechuck River to Clear Creek on the Sauk Friday. I did a little road scouting of the Whitechuck this weekend and found that it was relatively log free by the Whitechuck's standards (ie lots of wood on the banks out of the water, but I only saw one river wide log), and the river had plenty of water. The lower part of the run from the FS 23 washout to the Sauk adds about 2 miles to the middle Sauk run. It starts out as continuos class II-III for the first half mile and becomes III+ as the river gets steeper.
