For those of you who are not into class V.  I'll be at the Snow Creek lot (along with Leif) at 8am and looking to paddle.  Options include, the Lower Icicle (IV) , the Upper Upper Icicle (III (+1 portagable V)), Peshastin Creek (III(IV)), Chihuaua sp? (III) and of course the Wenatchee.  We are planning on hitting the Wenatchee and at least one other run.

Oh yea don't get me wrong we are totally going to be out there hammering down the moves in Class III, it's just that man can't live on bread alone. I need some meat and potatoes up in that diet ....

I'll take a number 5 with an extra helping of burl please.

The point is that there is going to be a ton of action happanin up in the valley and you don't want to miss it. We could even set up a park and huck on Log Limbo and see if anyone can run it clean without the assistance of Ropes and Bags....

We'll see ... I talk an aweful big talk until I get to the river... Then I shrivel up like a ... well you know + some cold waist deep water.

Tumwater or Icicle or whatever we run,

One thing's for sure, it's going to be fun!

The waters a risin' and the beer is a flowin',

And the rafters have started their oars a rowin'.

Blunts and loops and tricky Woo's too,

Are just a few of the things I can't seem to do.

With time on the water, on waves and in holes.

Crammed in my playboat, no feeling in my toes.

The practice will pay off, the Professor keeps saying,

No worries I think, I just having fun playing!

I just got off Grannies and a session at Happy Wave... Grannies is pretty crap
right now... very trashy and unpredictable. Happy wave, is well.... happy I
guess...

For those who don't know this one: Its about half way between Peshastin
and Leavenworth. The pullout for it is a grave drive down to the river on the
left if you are headed towards Cashmere/ Wenatchee from DurTown. There
is an outhouse down the pull out and it looks like a raft put in. The wave is
200 feet upstream and is prefect for beginners and intermeidate surfers.
You can also do blunts, flatspins and other stuff. Its quite cool.

Ok so no one can really read this yet that was involved but, if the PP party is like last night I will need to do some more preparations.

We really rocked that camp site guys... like really rocked it. Poor climbers... I was going to upload some photo's but I'm off to go boat some more...

If you have any media from this weekend lets see it... There has to be something crazy.

Sic party at the secret spot last nt. Fire blowin and late nite lumber jackin kept the festivus going til the wee hours. The crew was slow too start but I'm sure everyone got their paddles wet one way or another. Just a precursor to the PP Mday fiasco. For all ya'll that werent there the PP crowd rolled up and took over hood Compton Style . The climbers didnt stand a chance and were certainly still reeling from the raucous scene we caused.  Kudos PP paddlers braving the cold windy nites in Icicle for the sake of paddling and hanging with friends.   T...

I am thinking that you should name the rapid if it has not yet been named? Check around ... write a description and I will create your named rapid.

Maybe "LedgeOBlumicious" ???

Unfortunatly I was not thinking of taking photo's during Sat. Night ...

I wish I did though. No one would believe how fast "Can Fangula" is able to break open a beer and shotgun it with only the assistance of his left k9 and larger index finger. Amazing stuff... Truly amazing. Of course the Lesson's in Flamable Liquids was also a "Blast". Really a blast or maybe more like a Blaze. Who knew all those different types of liquor burn so nicely. We were all so amazed that half of each 1/5 was blown into the fire for effect and atmosphere... Truly no expenses were spared.
The rest of the night was not any less eventful just more and more embaressing for everyone lol

If you missed out don't worry you have one more chance.

Of course this little experiment also has led me to a greater respect for the art of a properly planned Party. I don't think the party in 3 weeks will be properly planned. But well try our best.

Stay tuned for a new thread on the Party It will be up later today. I am going to try and get some volunteers for different things that will need coverage for the party. Till Then... L8er

Sorry the video isn't uploaded yet John.  I had trouble uploading it last night, I think the file size might be too big.  I'll edit out the extra footage and try again tonight.

James, I coun't seem to find the parking lot for the happy wave.  The only spot that looked likely was upstream of the Peshastin Bridge but had Emergency parking only signs.  Was this the reight spot??

Happy wave is located between Leavenworth and Peshastin. If you are
coming from Leavenworth, it is about 1 mile east. There is a large gravel
pullout on the left with a road at the end of it that heads down to the river.
There are parking spaces and usually a few rafts putting in here. The wave
is apox 500 ft upstream from the parking area.

If you are coming from Peshastin, you will pass the fruit stands on the left
and the hotel on the right. The road bends a wide left next to an orchard
and the gravel road comes down steeply here. You can also drive an
aditional 200 feet and pull into the pullout that you would use if you were
coming from Leavenworth. The road to Happy Wave is accessible from both
directions.

This is seconds before I was wholy consumed by the gigantic final ledge in the Icicle Creek Gorge Rapid, "LedgeOBlumlicious".  I've never plugged such a big one in my playboat...  awesome rapid if anyone is in the area.  I'd strongly recomend setting safetly on this bottom ledge though.  Riverwide and sticky, just the way the Professor ordered....

As far as the festivities go, I feel like these two sum it up:

Well done guys! This post was in response to James's earlier "I wasn't
thinking about taking pictures... "Can Fangula"... ect..." Hope these capture
the moment.

Max Upload size is 15mb. There is a limit because people on a slow connection can wack out other people trying to upload so I don't want to allow a much bigger file than that. I can always post up bigger video's if you can get them to me.

I am looking into this whole MacOs thing. I don't get it though. I mean why do Mac's have to make things so difficult. Well see.
