II'm heading to Idaho to run the Selway (sorry, there are note more spots available) and am planning on stopping to take a few runs on the Lochsa Saturday.  If anyone is interested in joining me or has any advice let me know. 
 
Tobin, aren't you related to the people that own the Three Rivers Resort?

Just got off the Lochsa Sunday. Level's are read from the bridge piling at Three Rivers Resort, NOT the online gauge.
Level was 2.3 and rising Sunday. Cold water but beautiful fun day.

Great play run from Wilderness Gateway campground to Split Creek pack bridge. Its about 8 miles and probably a 4 hour run with alot of holes to play in, and catch on the fly waves.
Almost all rapids are run right to center. If in dought  run right is the norm for the lochsa.
It has big water feel in the bigger rapids. Big holes to watch for but usually its just a minor move to miss them.
Its all road side to scouting and walking is not a problem.

If it is above 5' on the bridge gauge, I'd run it the first time in a creeker as the rapids become HUGE, wave trains big enough that you cant see downstream unless your on the crest. Its fun at this level but it has a much different feel. Waves that will crash over your head. It will make it to that level this year and more but not sure if it will be before the 10th.

Fish Creek is also at  mile run that is at the usual put in for the lower run on the lochsa. Its a fun creek that is has a good gradient to it, with a couple good ledges etc. Well worth the extra five minutes up the gravel road for that. 

If your kayaking the Selway, Lochsa will be a great fun run for ya.

Please put up a full trip report on the selway so you can make us all Jealous of the premier run in the state of Idaho!!..
