Wise Students and Professor,
Over and out, and 10-4 good buddies! Sarah, dog, and I will leaving the Seattle area for Bodega Bay, CA on November 12th. Sarah has scored a fantastic job with NOAA as a Fisheries Biologist working on improving salmon habitat in rivers flowing through the Wine Country of Northern California. Having just finished her master's at the UW last Spring, she is glad to land a keeper' so to speak. I have board meeting after board meeting lined up for at least a month or so when I get there. It will be terrible! I hope the "man in the grey suit" doesn't not show! Well compadres, I will say that it has been really nice boating and spending time with all you boaters in the NW here. I am thankful for having met each of you and for the rides, lines, rescues, and tales we have shared along the way. If your traveling down Hwy 1 in Sonoma County you WILL stop in for fish tacos/ brewski's, "paddle repair," waves, and a place to stay with a view of Bodega Harbor. I mean it! Oh man .... we barely had a chance to get our dogs together into a formal pack!!! Well at least you will be by the ocean, wave after wave all day long!!! I hope you don't get mad when I track you down for that dry couch and cold beer! |

Been great boating with you Erik. I'll make it down to the great south at some point and it would be great to hook up. Congrats Sarah! It's been great paddling, skiing, and hanging out with you guys. We'll miss you! Tough break on the board meetings Erik. Be sure to take notes.

Hey Eric, that's awesom my friend Dolan hakala and his family had a sk8/srf shop in bodega bay, there is some great surf spot's there just find the locals. I stayed there for a week and we had a blast. There is a really cool commune up in the hill's. I forget Dolan's brother's name but ask about the Hakala's His mom and dad may still live there. A gerat family ! I think they moved back to kawie but who knows. There is some crazy hike that you can do through the woods out to the beach and along the cliff line. You can only make it at low tide then your there for the nite. I think it's crazy hike like 6-12 miles or something Dolan told me about and now it's your turn to search for the hidden treasure ! There is a sick down hill that goes rite through down town. Hope you have a down hill board or get your hands on a terane board made in tahoe ( the best down hill board I've ever ridden and it only has two weels !!! )Or just use a reg skat and power slide your wheels off !! If I'm ever around the nieghborhood I'll look you up ! Keep in touch E-dog and have fun !!! Surf's up ! Congrats on the new job Sarah! We'll miss you guys....I'll have to stop in on a road trip. I'll now be taking applications for new Alpental driver. Must own 4 by mini van, get up at 5:30 on powder days, and have ability to violently swerve to cut off other drivers while hanging middle finger out window. Good times
