While this year's PP Ball will have fewer events, we still plan to have a Chili and desert cookoff. Like last year, winner will be selected by simple majority, and all are welcome to participate. We will have a signup on the site in May, but I wanted to get the word out, and have people start to think about participating. Post here

As some know, due to a market-induced pause put on my house purchase plans (anyone know where the bottom will be?), I don't have a sufficient kitchen this year, and will likely not cook.
Now, if someone whats to "loan" me their kitchen and help out, perhaps we can turn it in to a team effort.
Unfortunately, we may have to cancel the event if we don't get more interest.

I am sorry, I should have said "suitable kitchen" instead of just "kitchen" in my prior post.
I don't want to cook the chili on the same stove that boils your enema...

Whaaat! Seriously Leif, that is disgusting....I hardly think this fine whitewater paddleboating forum is the place for your poo poo humor.

Didn't you once through feces around your house at a party, or was that Dufay? And maybe it wasn't feces. You know how these stories get exaggerated after each telling.

Whaat!? No fecal flinging at my parties dude. Food, beer, furniture, plants, fire....those are all ok but absolutely no poopy throwing! I think I even wrote that on the list of house rules right next to "No Meat Products in the Musical Instruments". I think Dufay prompted the addtion of that rule...but my memory could be wrong since i'm always blacked out drunk.
Now get back to your party planning!

Speaking of party planning, I proposed a fart lighting contest, but the idea was shot down.

I'll join the chili cook off contest (I'll double check that I am in town). Never made chili before, but I sure have some awesome hot sauce.

My housemate (not a paddler) makes some wicked chili. Hopefully I can get him to cook up a batch for the Ball

I wanted to reach out to everyone and remind you the Ball is coming up in 2 weeks. I need folks to re-confirm if you are participating (Ray, Rick, Ben, and I am not sure if Chris was saying he'd participate).
I am pleased to also announce I will be participating, but will be cooking far less than last year. I've got to split the goods between the PP Ball and an upcoming Selway trip.
Also, if anyone else would like to participate, please make your intentions known here.

Sure, Hugo. However, the Chelan county board of health says I have to have your full name and social security number before you unleash this "recipe" on the unsuspecting masses.
