no embedding that one. MSN locks up the footage for advertising.

I always get a kick out of seeing how the traditional media (the today show being especially fru fru) reacts to kayaking and to a larger extent, action sports as a whole. Here is a clip of luke spencer being interviewed on the today show for his run on outlet falls. I'm still not sure if I'm in favor of this type of media attention.

Way to go Luke!  That pic of outlet falls in canoe and kayak was awesome.  all that ice on the canyon walls looks sick!  Good Job.

"The landing! how could the landing look good? its seven stories down and 35 degrees!"
-love it

with as little time is allocated for such an interview, it's sad that "The Media" can consume so much of it with stupidly useless remarks "How would you like to strap yourself into a kayak...?"-- well I got news for ya, honey- it might look like a strap on, but it ain't.

And I wish that more time would've been given to Luke to express himself. As far as those photos, they are absolutely beautiful, and somehow I think they manage to capture the essence of the sport, which, for me, includes being in these very special, magical places and experienceing them in a very special way.

Modern media sensationalism...oh wait...its not that modern...I guess it started with Hearst.

I get my news on the Internet.  Its been ages since I watched a television news broadcast.

Thank God for Matt Drudge...

Actually, someone at Canoe and Kayak took too many bong rips before the write up on the Outlet Photo. That is actually Cody in the photo, Luke fired that sh*t up first and was already down in the pool talkin bout how he was gonna take a couple weeks off cause that drop smacked the sh*t out of him... Cody said the same thing, guess it was a super hard hit, harder than Metlako.. Just thought I share that info. Peace, love, harmony....
