West fork of the hood looks to be in this weekend (on my priority list for this fall), and regardless, Truss, Wind, and Washougal should be in. Any interest? |

I'm planning to head to Portland for the weekend -- I won't really be able to carpool down and back, but do plan to boat at least one day, maybe both.

It really doesn't make sense for me to drive down alone. We kayakers talk about being concerned for the environment, yet we have a tendency to drive around at far less than our respective vehicle's capacities. ------------- |

Probably old news by now, but the wood on the left channel by house rock has shifted about 30 feet downriver, is fixed firmly in place about 3' above the river (at ~1600), and projects out about halfway across the river. Not really even in play unless the water's significantly higher (maybe 3,000+ or higher), and easily avoided by taking the standard line to the right at all levels. ------------- -Jay |

Well last weekend was a treat for sure. Although I lost a few bucks to Tobin and Amber I still had a blast paddling some new local stuff and even getting some muddy Freeriding in!!! I would love to hear about the Grays and the South End Delights that several of you got on!!! I remember last fall when we got bamboozelled by the Grays and hit the elochoman/kalama instead. Ever since then I have been pretty curious about that river. So a little detail when you have a chance would be Awesome!!!! Leif what did you dip your stick into this weekend? |

Boating stories will be reserved for those of us who boat. I can say that I was not a part of the crew that went south, as they were screening their phone calls. Fortunately, snow is falling, an activity I can happily do by myself. ------------- |

Dear Leif, Hippity hop off the idea that I don't boat, I just don't boat with you. And it's not because I don't like you either (I do, I even think your a quality guy ). If I had a TV we could do a movie night but I am not even sure that would work out since all I like is British Dramas. We just don't seem too have anything in common anymore these days. I like to squirt down, but you like to spout off I like to playboat, you like to sit in your playboat I like flowin the freeride, you talk about an imaginary bike that's always on it's way I like catching air, you like releasing hot air I like creekin, you like to talk about it I get hurt so I have to slow down, you slow down so you don't get hurt I boof , you plug you giggle, I laugh I weep, you wimper I just don't know if this relationship is going to work anymore but I am willing to try. Do you have an ideas?
