Should be named "Russian Swimmers". Who has seen "A Glorious Way to Die"? I got to fill in a "blank spot" last week...

"Brothers on the Bashkaus" is an awesome story of the same thing. Crazy Russians tearing it up.

that movie "a glorious way to die" is friggin awesome. Shane turnbull has it. Its damn hard to find it.

My favorite part is how they pump up their homemade boats with a big bag. A guy runs around in circles to fill it with air and then he quickly closes the hole. then they attach a hose and ush the air out of the bag and into the boat "tubes".

We were wondering if this is footage from the famous Perestroika drop in Brothers on the Bashkaus, I think it's about the right timeframe.

At any rate, it's pretty sick.

That footage was from the movie "Dance with white furiyami" it was released in the late 90's. One of the comments in the youtube page is asking if that is the "doperestroyki" or "Perestroyka" drop/run, but no response is given.

Pretty intense water there fo sho.

awesome soundtrack and video- both capture the spirit of running whitewater!

My Russian is a bit rusty (what can I say it's a difficult language), but I guess if I was there I'd have to ask/comment:

Вы собирающийся едите это?
