Just curious if anybody has their eyes on the Entiat during the next month or so? It sounds like there are some fun sections but also some hazards to be well aware of and that it requires someone with solid knowledge of the run.

Anybody have any thoughts or comments, or want to try and put a trip together?

Let me know when you want to go. I haven't been up there in a while but my bro Hans and I have been talking about getting up there soon. He will be R-2ing. Flows around 900-1,100cfs should be good.

Hey dudes,

It's Ryan from PDX (paddled Tumwater with ya'all back in March). In any case, I've been itchin to get back to the Cle and the Cooper. I'm trying to get Garry up there before he moves to Seattle in September. When ya'all go, let me know, as I'd love to hook up and paddle with you guys again. We're headed to the Ohane on Saturday if you're around. My buddy Chris paddled the Entiat a while back and posted up a pretty sweet TR on Oregonkayaking (if you're looking for extra beta).

The entiat might be a fun spot to hit this weekend. The coop will be a bit high, the cle elum will be on the lower side of good. I am still in the air waiting to see what happens with this front moving in...

What's the lower side of good for the Cle Elum?

Cle Elum is good between 2500 and 3500. I would say 3k being optimal prime, 2500 being low side of prime and 2k being elfadiculous

I love The Entiat. Most people know about The Upper (play run??), then The Box Canyon Section (short/stout), then Lower IV+ miracle-mile. But if you read the following trip report carefully, you might find out about another section of whitewater up there.  I was on the original scout, but wasn't able to make the (1st ?) kayak descent.

James, if flows are in would you be game for Entiat or Cooper or Fall in The Wall next weekend at some point? Sounds like there is a decent amount of interest here.

I was hoping you would come and wear that sweet cow suit you had at the Halloween party. That would make my day.

I am staying local this weekend for sure. That being said I could be talked into making a Friday Night trip hitting FITW and then all day Sat on the coop. But I have to be back on Sat night so Entiat is out of the Q. Oh and the cow suit got destroyed while i was out in enumclaw a few weeks back, it was late, I didn't see the electric fence and the rest is well... bullcrap

Sorry I meant next weekend the 11,12,13 of June. I'm taking off for Colorado on Thursday and get back next week.

Enumclaw, hmm, hanging with the Boeing execs again?

Aaron Willliams and I are considering running this on Friday.  Anyone planning a trip there this weekend?  The Miracle Mile looks really fun.  I need a personal first decent.

I'll sum up my Entiat experience thus:

In the words of a famous ( to washington Boaters at least ) author:
"If At First You Don't Suceed, QUIT!"

I got that Line on the map- so as far as I'm concerned I'm done with that Damn Entiat. If it was closer or more remarkable I'd prolly continue to pick away at the other stretches, but for now I don't feel overly compelled to go back up yonder. It ain't no Little White, that's for sure. It ain't no Ici, Robe, or Top Tye.

But if you can swing up there to hit it, you should, for exploration's sake...
