Three kayakers from Texas (yes, there is whitewater in Texas, apparently) are coming in this week and would like to do Tumwater on Wednesday, is anyone going to be out there that day who wouldn't mind showing them the lines?

One girl is a class IV-IV+, the other is IV-ish and might portage some, and the guy is on the Olympic whitewater team, so enough said there. ;)  I have jury duty on Wed. and don't know the lines well enough anyway, but it would be nice if we could pony up some good ole PNW hospitality and help them out.  If so please give me a shout - thanks!

PNW hospitality thats a funny phrase.   Does that mean you're gonna give'em the stink eye and a cold shoulder?

Would love to but not exactly sure what my schedule will look like on Wednesday yet. Have to play it by ear... Irene, I sent you a PM too.

Well apparently, judging by the lack of response here. :) Just kidding, I realize people have jobs. And don't forget the PNW stink eye comes with a latte.

Irene I doubt it has to do with jobs, I think there would have been more responses if they posted themselves not proxied out the request. but then again that's just what crossed my mind.

Thank you Chris, I'm boating with these guys on the Sky today and will pass on the info, I really appreciate it!

You're probably right James,  I was the one who offered to post for them, just didn't think about it.

No I think it is super cool that you did, I am just saying that sometimes folks get more stoked when it comes from the cats meow... not that you're not the cats... ok I don't know where I am going here,

LOL James! Hey it turned out great, boated with them and Rob and Steve on the Sky yesterday and Mike Harms and Chris both offered to help then out on TW so they should be set. And I ended up getting a free lesson from Ben Kvanli who's on the national ww team or something (i should know) so maybe will someday catch eddies without sliding out all over the place.
