I fired off my comments to the Northwest Power Conservation Council. Those comments are due by November 20, the day after next. Please take 10min to do so yourself, if you haven't already.
This is probably going to be the most important recurring topic between now and 2017 as this process moves forward.
There is a cluster of little opporortunities to express our opposition to this dam. Its gonna require some critical mass from us as an interest group, its going to require cohesion, and a pretty casual yet relentless comitment to take advantage of these opportunities.
It would be cool to see this topic on top of the heap on these forums, to hear people discussing it more at the put ins and in the flatwater stretches, ect. It would be really really cool if we each pursuaded three or more non-boaters to tune into this issue and voice their opinion.
Just saying. It would be so very very sad if we were lazy on this and dropped thd ball. I want to try to comment every chance I get.
We're talking about the WILD SKY- one of the most amazing rivers in the state
