 Calendar Event: WSI Poker 7/20 @ SRK Posted: 11 Jul 2007 at 10:11am |
Hi there gamblers, paddlers and WSI supporters!
It's time to put your money where you mouth is. That's right, Texas Hold Em #4 is coming up. Friday July 20th at Seattle Raft and Kayak in Magnuson Park (Seattle) registration at 8:00 PM, first hand at 8:30 PM. Your $25 buy-in donation will score you a chance at this years crop of fun prizes including rafting trips, kayaking rentals, dinner certificates, etc. As usual we will provide the dealers, drinks and munchies. Pacific Rim Brewery has kindly donated a keg! The last 3 poker tournaments have been a great success and we hope to continue this tradition with a new poker event every 6 months. Top 5 players will have their pick at their desired prizes, plus bragging rights and whatever cash you can win on your own side bets. 1st place winner is always reserved a FREE seat at the next tournament! Congratulations to David Humes, WSI Texas Hold Em #3's champion! Hope to see come out again to defend your title David!
To register to play (or volunteer for this event - we always need new dealers and beer wenches) reply to this email or call Hunter at (206) 459-7334.
Wild and Scenic Institute is a 501 c 3 non profit organization whose mission is to provide free outdoor recreation and environmental education programs to disadvantaged youth of the greater Seattle area. We develop physical and emotional confidence in these youth who due to their physical, cultural, or financial barriers would not otherwise have this
opportunity. We take kids into the rivers and mountains of the cascades to help develop the skills and instill the passion that will create a generation of advocates for preservation. Our 2007 summer and fall programs include the Upper Skagit Rafting Adventure, Sauk Rafting Adventure and Tieton Rafting Adventure. These programs will be
coordinated with Seattle Parks and Recreation and will benefit the homeless teens of Youthcare, disabled youth of south Seattle, ELL (English Language Learners) from the city of Tukwila and disadvantaged kids from around our area.
Go to http://www.wildandscenic.org for more information.
If you can not attend Texas Hold Em #4 but would still like to support WSI
please mail your donation to PO Box 99011 Seattle WA 98199.

Your buy-in gets you beer and munchies and a seat at the
table. You won't get your money back but you get to drink all
night and if you win there are always some awesome prizes for the top
finishers. This is quite a deal! Every one of these poker
tourny's has been super fun!! I encourage all you yahoo's to
come and play!! The proceeds go to a great cause...check out what
the Wild and Scenic Intstitute does...I'm very proud of this

For those that want to stretch before the card game. I am going to show up in an hour or so and kick it in the water for a few before the games begin.
