I might be down too - will post up later today once I figger out the schedule.

Just decided to go today (Saturday) as well -  for any folks out there digging the levels but who had to stay local, two of us are leaving Seattle at 8am and will be at the put-in by 9am - I have to get back to Seattle by noon.  Call if you want to hook up since I will not be checking in after this 206.660.8469 - Scott

I am in for the green and I can drive.  I live in Magnolia if anyone lives nearby or wants to meet somewhere.  I have never been there so I would love to check it out with someone.

It's 5:20 pm on Saturday.  I'm joining the trip and I just talked to Weide on the phone.  He asked me to post the following: meeting time still 11:00 am.  Meeting location at take-out parking area near the Franklin Bridge.

respose to Jojo: a playboat is fine at this flow, assuming you have a reliable roll while paddling it.  The run is mostly class III rapids with two IV-ish drops.  But, it's in a gorge that's hard to hike out of.  I live in Fremont and can carpool with you.  I'm also available to drive.  Call me if you want to arrange this.

Hey I just moved to Maple Valley a few weeks ago.  I live like 8 miles from the Green.  I would love to go tomorrow.  Can I meet up with you boys???  You can call my cell any time before 11pm tonight and after 8am in the morning.  #541-953-6683.  Thanks.  Oh yeah, I am a solid IV+ paddler just in case you wanted to know my experience level.

So where exactly is the Franklin Bridge? Is it the take out location on hyw 169 (Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd.) or on the Enumclaw - Franklin Rd?
Thanks, I'm thinkin about joining.

The parking lot is in a gated, grassy field on the north side of the river.  Coming from Seattle, I get there by drivign south on 169, then turning left (toward the east) on Lawson St, which later becomes SE Green River Gorge Rd.  Then drive until you find the gated parking area on the right.  Some people park at the cemetary across the street.  These directions mean that you wouldn't go over the bridge.

If you're driving to the take out from say, Enumclaw you could follow 169, then take Enumclaw-Franklin Rd. to SE Green River Gorge Rd..  then go left and cross the bridge to get to the parking lot.

I hope this is clear.  If not check out Google maps or live.maps.com.

Also after the run everyone must be sure to fill out the survey at  http://greenriverflowstudy.com, because we alll need more opportunities to paddle the Green.
