Hey, anyone know if that forest service road between Randall and Trout Lake (FS23, I think) has been re-opened?
I know it got blown out by mudslides a year or two ago, but haven't heard if they've gotten it pulled back together yet.

There isn't a plan in place to fix it...yet.  The locals don't seem to be optimistic.  It is a damn shame...

Depends on from where you're coming. Generally anywhere in the Seattle area you're better off doing I-5, except from the eastside, taking I90 east and going through Yakima may save you time if you're leaving at at a time of heavy traffic (like a Friday afternoon).

Just talked to the Gifford Pinchot Forest Service folks. Apparently they're going to be starting the road repair in the next week or so, and plan to be finished by mid-October.

Won't do us any good this year but, just an FYI for next.

Dave.  Thank you for your prompt and courteous research.  You're an asset to the sport.  Now how hot do you think that chick you talked to on the phone really is?
