And thank you for commenting!

Being new to the community, I don't understand the politics between groups, and frankly, am not sure I want to! (for example, why aren't the WKC pool sessions listed on PP?)

I represent the position that we're out there to support each other, more so than just to have fun (don't they go hand in hand?). However, I am aligned with those who want to turn up the fun factor and useability of the WKC - and am working in that direction.

If anyone has friends or family who would benefit from a kicked back flatwater day accompanied by good food and good people, I hope they'll consider joining us!

What up Reindeer!!!!

WKC's sessions are more than welcome ... hot diggity dog gone dang I have even asked a few times for someone to step up and offer those details to our community. Your the first person to even respond on the discussion

As far as the pool sessions go, the dates and times change so much along with cancellations that I pulled all the pool sessions down a few years ago and send a few messages out asking anyone that wanted to post their session to do just that. In return I would make a little forum for them and they could moderate it and update dates ect...
At first only the UPS posted their sessions, then the OAC did and then SRK did. As you can see there is a pool session in bellingham discussed below but they never got posted because no one was willing to take responsibility for the accuracy of dates ect..
http://professorpaddle.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4521

Then earlier this week I locked the SRK session and posted a temporarily down message.

The reason for all this is simple.. People were driving to the sessions and they were closed because PP had old dates posted, something changed or was moved ect...

Its was really no ones fault, thats just what happens when details are posted by someone who is not responsible for the event. So now that is a prerequisite.

Hope that helps... and have a blast on the water this weekend...

Speaking of Sessions... I am heading down to the UPS tonight for one... Anyone interested in ze carpool?

Hey Reindeer!

If you leave the WKC social early, you should come paddle with me on the Sky.  The other group might be gone by then, but we can paddle up and down the river until it gets dark.  :)  It would be good to see you again!

And, to further the effort of "joining nations," a just got my WKC October Bulletin in the mail and saw something that might be of interest to the PP folks.  At the Oct. 24 General Meeting, Peggy Protz will be teaching a short class on Finding Flexibility: Improving Movement for More Efficient Paddling.

Here are the details: Fri., Oct. 24, 7:00pm, REI Flagship, Seattle
Join Peggy Protz, a Certified Feldenkrais Teacher, in learning to increase strength, speed, and endurance for any style of kayking by applying some innovative body-mind exercises.  You'lll have a chance to experience the benefits of this method, proven to be extrememly effective in helping people take their athletic ability to a higher level, while sitting in your chair.  See how to improve back comfort, find easier arm action, and enhance your balance in the boat for better learning, turning, edging, and bracing.  Decrease muscle strain, tiredness, and avoid injury.  Instructor Peggy Protz is a  Certified Feldenkrais Teacher with a background in dance and pilates.  She has helped people with their movement for over 16 years and has taught a number of seminars geared especially for kayakers.

So there ya go.  I really have no idea what this is, but it could be cool?
