I am down for this Tony,  Id on't have any connections in those places, but can make some phone calls and see what needs to be done.

Just to let you know, I am not planning on having any formal competitions, events, or what have you's.  I am however, calling in a few favors from a bunch of folks in the industry to have just about every Kayak Manufacturer on hand with Demos, so you can demo nearly every boat on the market in one place!

The perfect place for an event like this to take place would be on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmi. Not only is there a great river and Possible camping in the area, but there are many creeks and rivers nearby for other possible adventures and competitions. Within a 30 minute drive there is class V+ to class II water, and this is very centrally located right next to I-90.

With the Cispis you are limited to only the Cispis and allot of driving if you want to go anywhere or need to buy any supplies. (our beer drinking friends may need close access to stores which are ample in the Snoqualmi drainage)

Hmmmm.... I see......... I am trying to find a central spot that our southern friends would come to.......... plus I think the Snoqualmie thing has been done and is beat to death weekly....... In that case, lets just do another one on the wenatchee............ Lets try a new river, new area, new scenery, that is not a daily back yard run, and see how it goes, shall we?    Again, the pros have dozens of options for 'competition', so lets try and draw people to something new, a friendly river, with a few nearby options for others, but an event that newbies can feel comfortable coming to................

The Cispis is certainly away from everything. I just havnt done it much since they built the Dam and ruined the lower run. But, I would really like to do the upper section as I have never run it yet.

If someone figures out the date and can do some of the initial planning I can get the gate opened and coordinate as appropriately with Lewis County PUD (not Tacoma). WKC and PaddleTrails have done some big trips down there followed by food and drinks at the Big Bottom. WRRR has talked about a festival of some sort. If someone wants to take charge just drop me an email and I can assist with logistics and put you in touch with others who have talked about this.
