   Calendar Event: December WW Movie Night

Hello Paddling Friends!
This is a reminder that December's Whitewater Movie Night is tomorrow, 14 December 2010 at AquaSports at 7pm. Please bring your friends and family-- all are welcome!! If you have any questions, please feel free to call the shop at (425) 869-7067. Also, just a reminder that it is a BYOB event.

Charles has graciously offered to leave out a selection of movies available, for the group to decide. If it's out there, I wouldn't be surprised if Charles has it.
If anyone ever has a movie you want to watch, bring it! Or feel free to request it and we'll see if we can get a hold of a copy.

What do you think about creating a poll here before the showing and deciding which movie(s) to watch beforehand?
I like kayak videos but seeing one once is enough.

Fiddleyak- I understand what you're saying, and I'm certainly not opposed to creating an online poll (Although, I don't currently have privilege to create one). However, a poll is exactly what we're doing tonight at AquaSports-- just in the "old-fashioned" way *haha*.  The video choice will be left up to a vote/group call on this particular month. There's plenty of videos to choose from-- believe me, Charles is not lacking a variety of vidoes-- or as I said before, bring one you want to see, or request one and we'll try to get a copy of it if we don't have it.
I hope that this "old-fashioned" approach doesn't discourage anyone from coming to the shop to enjoy the company of fellow paddlers
As new videos come out we will, of course, be showing those. Although I think we're currently waiting for the next "new" video to come out, that we haven't already shown in a previous movie night. If I'm mistaken and have missed one that has recently come out & people want to see, please-- someone tell me!

I guess my point was I'm most likely to make an extra effort to come if I know for sure that I'm going to get to see a movie I haven't seen yet.
Anyway, I had a great time the last time I came and will make it whenever I can (can't tonight). I think it's really great that kayakers can gather this way. It would be neat if we could get something going on the west side.

As for West-side events, last I heard that was something Adam was going to be taking care of & organizing. Check in with him.

It was another great night with some awesome people, watching some great videos! Thanks to those who were able to join us, and thank you to those who brought videos to share-- Texas Dave, Will, and Kyle K!

Okie- I'll try changing the January Movie Night to the 2nd Wednesday of the month. It's hard to find one day that works for everyone; maybe I'll alternate Tuesdays & Wesnesdays? Unless people would just like to make it Wednesdays? I'll have to check with AquaSports schedule though, because I think they're closed on Wednesdays now. I'd hate to ask them to open the shop on their one day off, ya know? I'll check & get back to you all. Would Mondays work as an alternate, if. Wednesday doesn't?

Well I'll check my work schedule first. I'll know Wednesday AM. I know tuesday I'm never available, but with my work being random schedule (bein a nurse and all and not the typical 9-5 weekday job), I'll have to check it. I'll let you know asap. Thanks for the consideration!
