I'm coming from Vancouver, BC to Seattle for a music festival this weekend - honkfestwest.com - and I'm thinking about bringing my gear to hit up some whitewater while I'm down there.  Looking to connect with local boaters to get out on III-!V rivers and creeks.  I have a Dagger Rx - a play/river cross, so not set up for anything too burly on the creeks side of things.
Had a look at river levels today - looks like it's still early days for a lot of the spring rivers - but maybe y'all will have some ideas of where to go.
I would be down to get out later this week or early next week, but am busy in the city for the weekend.
Thanks and maybe SYOTR!
Eddie

Check out Tumwater and lower Icicle Creek, over in the Leavenworth area.

If you want to stay near Seattle area, then the Green or the MM or the Sky would be your best options. Some easy class IV drops and class III rapids.

I'm pretty sure there will be a Middle Middle (Snoqualmie) run after work Thursday, and probably a Skykomish run Thursday day - that second one is a classic run, I highly recommend, but both are fun.  Upper Green is great too if you see a run posted.  Give a shout if you want a heads up about Thursday.

It's all fun and games until someone loses a paddle.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions, folks.  I've decided to keep things simple and carpool with my band for the weekend rather than extending my stay to paddle.  But I do plan to come down again in a few weeks, maybe once the Wenatchee is up and running.  Is this the most popular forum to discuss/organize runs, or is there another one that I should know about too?
