I’ll be coming out to Seattle the week of the 4th and am looking to borrow a creek boat for a few days so hopefully somebody can help me out. I’m flying out from the Midwest to meet some friends June 30 and hoping to paddle through the 4th on some of the easier runs out there. I’d rather not have to deal with flying a boat out and am considering a couple of different options so hopefully one of them works out. I’d prefer to pay something like $60 and a case of beer for something I can paddle for those days. I’ve also welded several boats and would be willing to take a cracked boat, fix it so I can paddle it and return repaired. Can anybody help me out or offer some cheap rental suggestions?
Thanks!
Chris

Where in the 'midwest' are you coming from?

What size boat do you need?
Sure?

Tobin, Chris is from OHio.

lol, j/k I don't know where he is from, but I would suggest just renting a boat from Aquasports.... Anywhere in the midwest is close enough to OH...

Fortunately I dont live in a corn field or anywhere near Ohio:) I'm actually coming out from Minnesota. And yes we do have whitewater here but our season is just short as fu*k! So I'm stoked to get some padlding in while I'm out there! I considered Aquasports but if I have to rent would prefer to drive to Kayak Shed since their rental prices are very reasonable.

Ideally I'd still like to find a cheaper/easier way than heading out to Hood River area just for a boat. For yak sizes I'm currently paddling a Villain S and love it. Much more volume or length might not be ideal for me. I started creeking in a Mamba 8.0 and a similar high volume river runner would also work great!

I'm also pretty experienced, have a solid roll and a good crew to paddle with so I won't be reckless with your gear and beat it up. Let me know...

I have a cracked Nomad 8.5 that you could possibly borrow. Possibly meaning I'm not sure its repairable. I'd almost call it a split. Feel free to use anything possible to cover the crack, I mean split  I'll send pics a little later.
