Jed, are you talking about Ledge Drop 1, just as you enter the park area for the Upper Gorge? The first rapid you would paddle if you put in IN the park?

I think that's the one, if not it describes it exactly. It's quite a surprise when you catch the eddy and start sliding backwards towards the sieve.

I wonder if some rocks shifted with the last high water too. Last time I was there we saw a big rooster tail in the bottom of the left side of the ledge on river right. Didn't remember seeing it before.

Edit: point was that it looked like a pin potential, and not all that visible from above.
