well as you all know it rained a ton ... i mean it would have been a ton in the middle of winter !!  to have this much rain at the end of Sept. is crazy ... some rivers in WA got to over 50 times there average flow for this time of year !!!    we ran the Tilton on sunday at around 3100  and again on monday at the peak of 6000!!!   the average flow for the Tilton on sept 30th is around 100cfs ...  truly a rare event

i must say going strait from the summer of sailing and drinken rum to high water runs on the Tilton in my tiny dagger ego was a lil much ... i was scared out of my mind on monday at 6000 even tho i have run it at that flow many times in the same boat ....if i was in shape and in the right mind set i would have had more fun i think ... or maby i should have been in the creekboat .... getting swallowed by massive boils, folds and holes and rolling 5 times in the Tilton at 6000 was crazy    haha

i skiped work on monday and i wish i could take the whole week off .... alota things are gona be prime flows this week .... and there is no snow to keep us out ... the Mashell would have been nice today i bet

what did you all get to paddle ?  ...id love to hear some flood storys from this rare storm

We hit the Foss on Monday at 1600 or so when it peaked. It was high and pushy. We did the whole thing in about 15 min actually boating, mostly it was scouting time. Fast and continuous. No eddys. Good lines and fortunately no swims.
