Ran the Tilton again today (Sun 23rd) and the was a new landslide just upstream of the second tall waterfall on the left (windy falls). This landslide happened sometime on Saturday nite (22nd) and it dumped some large trees in the river wich broke up and are all over the rest of the run. One large piece is blocking the right side of the next rapid below the landslide, but the left still goes. Further down there is a nearly river wide log in a pushy rapid. There is a line far left but it's a must make move in pushy water, we walked on the left.   There is also a large cedar now jamed up in the log above Scary Gary. Rafts would have a hard time with some of these logs.   I think it will all flush out with the next big flow but for now be carefull.

If this slide had happened last Saturday nite the 11 rafts that ran on Sunday would have had a nasty surprise. Just goes to show that ya never know with wood and a day can make big difrence.   Be safe out there , always watch for wood.

Here is a picture of BIGWATER, Jihad, and Cindy's portage below the big waterfall.  (Note: New landslide is @ the waterfall coming into the canyon from the left @ right turn below leap of faith; upstream of Scary Gary).  Just upstream of the picture is a rapid that pushes you to river-right (and onto the log).

Thanks for the heads up! Wow after a great lap on Saturday, crazy to think how quickly it changed in there. Glad that landslide waited until after our big raft trip the previous weekend!

So just clafiying... is that the waterfall on R.Left that pours out into the river (so that you can actually paddle under the falls if so inclined and needing of a shower)?

Joe, the slide is at the next falls down from the one you can paddle under. They are not far apart you can see the second falls on the left from the first one in that strait section before the right turn. And yes it was the perfect weekend for the rafts the other week, what luck!
