 Topic: Quinault/Ohane Posted: 24 Apr 2015 at 8:41am |
I'm bailing on the release due to traffic on and off the water. Anyone game for some ohane or east fork Quinault. I would really like to get the Quinault, prime flow and I haven't been in there for a while. Tomorrow would be the day for the Quinault.

Yes it is. I've run it many times by wouldn't mind company and the hike is a breeze. This would be my first trip in a while. I have an alternate put in if Dolly is blocked.

I wouldn't go in with that expectation.

Quinault Gorge: The run was good. It was my first time down, so I don't have anything to compare it to. We rappelled in below the falls, so we are not sure how the first section is. The rest of the run was pretty clean, and all of the drops were runnable. We ran the left slot at Wolf Trap. The left slot has a log across it, but we were able to paddle over it next to the left bank. Definitely a beautiful canyon with amazingly clear water.

Level good. If you rappel you could use more. If you go in at dolly it would have been on the marginal side for portage. Of course that's depending on the current unknown configuration. I may hang a rope this season if I do I'll make it known. With that said it is possible from the rappel down to do a decent where you never leave your boat provided you know where you are going. I will be going back if anyone is interested I'd happily accompany.
