Same drill as usual - meet at split rock at 6:30pm - put in at Cable drop.  See ya on the river!

I am new to WA having relocated here from CA (yup! one of those :-) ) and would love to join in on the wed. afternoon paddle on the sky.

I was there on late Sunday afternoon looking to run it by myself (since I know few paddlers in these parts!) but decided that the bike shuttle up Hwy 2 would certainly kill me.

I will be driving up from downtown Seattle and can offer to drive up, up to 4 people and their gear.

Also, as a newbie, I am not certainly exactly where "Split Rock" is (although did check out Boulder Bar which was cool!).  Can someone better describe the meet point?

Thanks
Kiran

I couple of us are meeting at the South Bellevue park and ride and carpooling from there at 5:15.  If anyone else want to meet there let me know.

I plan on leaving Kirkland around 4:00, and got room for one more.

Look for the turn out on the right side of highway 2 (heading east) just after the railroad bridge.  Approx 2.5 miles east of the Big Eddy Parking area.  Seeya on the river!

Never did make it to the river.  I got a bit on  I-5N and the traffic daunted me and then I saw a 3 mile back-up on the Hwy-2 turn-off and that was a turn-off :-(

I promised myself when I moved out of CA that I would sit in traffic longer than I spent on the river.

Did I just leave at the wrong time? Was it unusual? or is that normal "rush hour" traffic at 4:30PM ?
