I am a big Aquasports fan to. Charles is the only retailer I have ever had offer to to exchange or refund well used equipment when I developed problems with it months later.

I have been to all of the shops, I prefer to go to the places I feel want my business. That is the simple fact for myself. Its pretty weird what you said Dave. Why is Aquasports the only store on the links page?

I hope this doesn't create a huge discussion but I am a huge supporter of local shops and rarely buy anything online.  There are good and bad things about all shops.

I appreciate SRK for all of their community involvement with free lake sessions, free boat demos, free movie premiers (with killer shwag), and trying to promote the boating community offline. 

It really comes down to location.  If your in Seattle SRK is closer and it seems silly to drive to Redmond to visit OAC/Aquasports.  If you are on the east side OAC/Aquasports would be the obvious choice.

I think most of the stores are about the same now a days, they stock what sells and help their buyers. Online can be a bit different. The bottom line is that you choose who you support. When you make purchases you are supporting and helping that store survive and grow. Thats a good thing.

I do think it is unfortunate that none of the local stores want to grow with our community's support or activity as you mentioned dave. After many offers to every local store I have settled on the fact that our Community does not hold enough value for a local store to exchange links with us. It is a interesting conundrum considering the traffic and clicks that pass through the links page but hey, I guess I never got a deegree neither ...
