Favorite River - Little White Salmon  aka.  The Church , aka.  L-Dub,

Try  and  find a more badass creek with everything in it,  from waterfalls,  ledges,  boulder gardens,   to bongs under the put in bridge!!!

Didnt think so...

Correction Ash,

I'm a kayaker who happens to be an oarsman as well.

Yes, i ran the NF Payette in a catboat... but because i chose a different craft, does that not mean that it cannot be my favorite river???

I also IK, bodyboard, hardshell,  paddle guide, catboat, and R2.

Should i be excluded because of the craft i take?

Ha, Creature Crafts.   What a worthless excuse for a boat those things are.

Nothing quite as funny as seeing CC'ers towing some tubers through the flat water before Gore Canyon and watching them both get trashed once they reached the rapids.  Good times.

When you washed then Ash, did you use liberal amounts of detergent (preferably corrosive) and HOT water?

My true love happens to be my first, the Lochsa River.  Cold clear water flowing out of wild idaho, no houses, no gas stations, big waves, and lots of sections to run.  The scene on the Lochsa over Memorial Day Weekend is something every boater should be a part of at least once.  Kayakers, cat boaters, rafts, commercial rafts, you name it everyone is out there having the time of their life.  Even better check out the Lochsa Rendezvous the first week of May at the Lochsa Lodge.  Boaters everywhere, bands, debauchery, old friends.  I'll be going back a bunch and can take three with me so anyones invited next may.  Smiling just thinking about it.

Lochsa Lodge is the place up river at mile marker 162.  Three rivers is the place down river near the confluence of the Selway and Lochsa.  Both are great places with their own special attributes but I am partial to the Lodge.  The Lodge is usually colder being a couple thousand feet higher in elevation but has a more intimate feel to it more rustic.  More lawless.  You have a little farther ride to the lower stretches but you are closer to the white pine stretch.  The Lodge is a great place to spend a night if you are rolling over from missoula then plan on camping down river.

That is a ways up, but it sounds great.   I would check it out, but my cousin Co-owns Three Rivers.  I will be there the weekend after Memorial Madness!!

Last year we met a great guy from Missoula that was down for hte day, he helped us with lines on the White Pine Section!  It is a great scene! and the river rocks!!!

I probably know your cousin.  I have guided on the Lochsa for eleven years.  Do you remember the guy from Missoula that floated White Pine with you?  Just curious.  I will be there the week after also, we will have to meet up and float.  That weekend is one of my favorite because the river is not quite as busy.  Most people are headed to river trips or have spent there get away days by then.

I am sorry to hear that shuttle.  Hopefully you will be re-establish proper command of the situation.  I find that you are one of the few folks here that I can relate to...you know, a true intellect!

I also think that Daryl and Hardboof are pretty jazzy as well.  I can tell that the river has made the few of you tough...tough as nails.

I don't jazz, I rock...

I don't know how to boof but I will gladly poke into your skirts if you turn your back to me and there is no room in your hole...

I can't hand paddle but I can doggy paddle
I can't style a run but I can run things doggy style
I'm not tough as nails but for me getting nailed is tough

Someday I am going to learn all this paddling stuff and people are going to want my autograph, at that time I will stop yapping off and everyone will say to each other... wow that guy is rad .. wow that guy is amazing and he doesn't even act like it...

Until then I figure people are going to know I suck and recognize it ... so I will get my loud mouthin in while people don't pay me any mind.

My favorite run is peshastin creek. Dropin into fresh squeezed with must make moves is where its all at!

haha jazzy.  When i was up on the ottawa Eli Speigle was trying to convince me to ask nick troutman for his autograph, just to bother him.  I guess only the little kids who were beginning to kayak asked him.  I think once you get to the top, you realize that autograph requests are few and few between.
