Hey all,
I know this has come up before... but I couldn't locate where in the past.  So, I post the question:  whats the best Video editing software.  I am new to this so 'best' is relative.  I operate a windows 7, so any throwouts that correspond with this would be helpful.  Thanks!

Adobe Premiere elements or premiere pro are pretty sweet. Avid media composer is top of the line for PC's. i've heard sony vegas is sweet too. i'd go with sony or adobe.

If you like the price of free you should try out the windows movie maker that is included with most (all I think) versions of W7

I like sony vegas pro. It's simple enough to figure out when starting, and after a bit of time you can do some cool stuff with it.
