Is anyone using a bow ring in place of their center pillar? The center pillar in my mafia will not stay in place, plus it would be nice to have the leg room. Just wondering if anyone else out there uses it and if they like it and feel safe with it.

I had one in my critical mass and loved it.

I wonder what it's like, swimming in whitewater with that ring stuck around your knees(I heard it shrinks when wet).

At least with the foam pillar that pops out, you can grab a hold of it and use it for extra buoyancy.

If you decide to get one of those rings, can I have your center pillar? I'm thinking about making a couple of voodoo doll foamy boaters.

Ha! Righty tighty lefty loosey, its bolted in. I could be willing to donate, especially since you recently donated a set of hand paddles to me! Just kidding, if you want them back you'll have to come paddle up north now that I moved.

You foolishly stole the crappy home made pair instead of the much coveted, out of production Power Paws. Hang onto them for a while and bring 'em back next time we paddle.
