 Topic: SeaGnar??? Posted: 03 May 2016 at 2:04pm |
So... before I purchase a domain name, is SeaGnar too weird of a name? Should this thing just be called the "Seattle Amateur Film Fest"?
Does the whole thing suck? Is this something that should continue or has the event run it's course?
Thoughts? Opinions? Advice? JP?
Thanks in advance folks!

lol you may want to choose something other than Seattle Amateur Film Fest. check google search results for details. SeaGnar doesn't seem too weird and SeaGnar.com even has a nice ring to it.

SeaGnar gives me the impression of extreme sea kayaking. That's what I thought when I clicked on this thread that it would be about.

Hump! Hosted by Dan Savage.
Possibly throw Whitewater somewhere in there and you'd be good to go." SeaGnar Whitewater Filmfest "Keep it going!
Maybe have genres like beater, rafting, exploratory, stouting, misc... the vids could be watched by a selected few and the victor for each genre could be presented at the event. Each victor for each genre will be voted on and potentially win SeaGnar...

I like SeaGnar Whitewater Filmfest....it's unique to Seattle and a creative name. I think it's awesome you've kept it going and you should continue it on :)
I like the ideas of categories....or perhaps a different theme each year?!
Thanks Dan!

Categories is a great idea. This year will be more organized (yeah right) so I can try to have a bigger pool to pull from.

If your hosting between late October- Late March... I'll have plenty of time to help yah organize.
Would be rad to get Kurle in the mix. Especially while you and him helped give visual beta and inspiration to get on so many local runs via vid! Never met the duder! Thanks again for for all your videos!!!
"SeaGnar outdoor Filmfest X"...? for extreme sports. Bunch of new guys/gals would be participating if adding kiting/flying, rock climbing, mtn biking etc...

Enjoyed SeaGnar my first year! Missed last time :-(
I think SeaGnar makes it sound like an ocean event lol. There might be more interest/participation with a less cool name. The real question is should I delay my new video release ;-)!

Yeah. We all know how much I love sea kayaking....
I will try to think of another name. I was steering clear of anything PP related ( ) and Ball related. Any ideas?
Colby- drop that hot fire son! Although, I have to admit, I'm considering not putting out anymore edits until it's drysuit time again (purely so I have a captive audience).

Seattle Stoke a Thon was cool too, but I'm sure you'll think of something snazzy :)
