Topic: Middle Middle Posted: 04 May 2006 at 9:31pm |
So the middle middle is on the rise. Tomorrow is going to be a high of 70 and saturday is going to be cloudy and 58 :( When are we going to get a sunny weekend of paddeling!
Oh well, MM should be IN and fun none the less.
There are 2 of us now, probably 4 - Erik and Mike????
Meet at my house at 9:30am.
BTW, if you are going add yourself as going. James built the site so f*cking use it! j/k...but yeah add yourself.

Hmmmm, wish I could go to the Wenatchee, but the MM is a fine tonic for my jonesing.
Given the rain forecast for the mountains on Sunday, I was tempted to make it a Cascade two-fer and board before/after kayaking tomorrow. Or a trifecta if someone wanted to climb the Tooth with me.
I will need to take my own vehicle for said Alpy excursion - when are you thinking you will be at the take out? Sounds like 11 by the time kayaks get on the roof, people arrive, etc. I'd probably just meet you there and get my turns in before then if so.

Would love to join you guys, if MM is closer to a 3 rather than a 4 with the low flow right now.
I'd be up for doing the tooth also Scott_H if your looking for a partner.

Erik, I can give you a ride. Just drag your sh*t to my house...it's only like 5 blocks j/k I'll pick you up. Scott_H, I'm thinking about hitting Alpy on Sunday but would be interested in a 2-fer. I know matt and Erik have to be back in seattle in the afternoon so i'd need a ride. My house: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=4006+linden+ ave+n,+seattle,+wa&ll=47.657641,-122.348471&spn=0.02 5726,0.10849&om=1 Be there around 9:30am. Adrian, The MM is definitley a 3 no where near a 4.

I'll be there then for the kayak definately,
Also interested in the 2-fer. Does the tooth have any ice on it right now. ie do you need ice tools? I've never been to alpental in winter so do you ski up with skins or get the lift up?

Adrian - we may have to hit the tooth at some other point (plenty of season for it - would be a great combo day)...I had been thinking about taking the lift up and then traversing over...but typically skinning up is the way...see you on the river tomorrow...definitely a III tomorrow....
Ryan...cool on the ride up and back to Alpy afterwards...I'll be at your house at 9:30 and figure it out the car details then.

Guys -- I was thinking about doing the Green River trip tomorrow, but am now thinking if I did that trip I might not make it back to Seattle by my 5:00 curfew. So, I'm up for the MM as well. If you guys are leaving Ryan's at 9:30, can I just meet you at the takeout around 10:30? That will save me the drive to Fremont.
Oh, and should I bring my snowboard, too?
Mike -- if you're out there and wanting to go, I could swing by and grab you, since we live about a block apart. Just let me know.

Are we going skiing or SNOWBOARDING afterwards. Me confuseed! It doesn't
seem like the skking is going on untill sunday. I don't really need to be back
at any time tomorrow since I got my car back already since the mechanic
said "there's nothing I can do for you here."

Brent, Mike's out I talked to him yesterday.
I saw we yak and then go RIDING at snoqualmie/alpental. If you don't have a pass lift tickets are $5 this weekend for Cinco de Drink-o.
Erik, bummer about your ride.
CHANGE IN PLANS: Meet at the bakery on Eastlake by Brent's place at 9:30....Not my house!. It's on the east side of the easlake and next to bank of america.
Brent chime in with the name of it please. That way we can caravan and determine vehicle situation.
Sweet, tomorrow is going to rock!

Sorry for the delayed response -- just got in. It's called Grand Central Bakery & Cafe. It's on Eastlake, address is 1616 Eastlake Ave. See you all there.
