Hey folks, I'm planning on heading up to BC in August and am looking for some beta. I'm a rafter into long multi-days. From the research I've done, it seems the Chilko/Chilcotin/Fraser is one of the best.
Guide books and websites only get you so far, so I thought I'd throw it out there. Mostly what I'm curious about is Lava Canyon. I'm a solid class IV boater who runs the occasional V, with some good big water experience--though usually in a bigger boat than the 14 footer I have now. Is this stretch going to be over my head? How about Big John and Farwell?
Also the Taseko appears to be a good alternative to Lava Canyon, is it easier?
