What do people use for wearable camcorders?
Has anyone tried using the ContourHD?
I was looking for something for POV stuff and the video that has been posted recently on here (Thunder, Little White) has been really cool looking and inspired me to get some video going. I have the Oregon Scientific one, and it is ok, but nothing great.
I like the set-up on the Contour HD better than the HeroHD. Looks like a lower profile.

The Contour HD would be a great camera for everything BUT paddlesports. The Contour HD Is only water resistant, not waterproof.
The Go Pro HD is the best POV camera that's "waterproof" on the market currently.

That had made it a no-go before on the Contour, but I notice that they now sell a waterproof case for it and their site shows pictures of people mounting them on their surfboards and such:

The waterproof case for the Contour works great and it is a very good camera, you just will lose some audio with the case but I still think it's a great choice. If it turns out the footage I just took of Ben Hawthorne doing Boulder Drop on a SUP (the Needle! :) actually turned out I will post it here as a sample.

Wiggins, Irene, and Charles all have Contours for paddling. I use the Hero HD. I prefer it because of the versatility for placement and mounting (I don't know of the options the Contour offers, but basing off of it's length, I'd say not as much as the Hero). I recently got the chest harness for a better POV. I found the helmet mount was too high. I also am trying it in 960p tall format instead of 720p Wide. I tried it out the other day on the Sky, (extremely low flows) but it looked great from the chest POV.

Right right right, for support. Gotta have that support or I'd be all over the place.

I want to see the Boulder Drop footage too. Regardless of whether it turned out well or not, please post it.

OK, here it is, I don't know if the embed will work so I'll post the link as well.
There is a weird clicking noise that I've never heard in other Contour videos, it may just be a defect in this camera, I have to check it out. But you can see the picture quality and what the sound is like when the waterproof case is on. I like it because you can mount the camera on the side of your helmet, less likely to get removed by a friendly rock.
BTW, thumbs up to Ben, he has only been on a SUP a few times before, in this video he meant to take Airplane Turn and then ends up having to do the Needle, that's why I'm cracking up half way through. He's on an Emotion Traverse SUP, designed by Corran Addison, it's pretty much designed for river-running I think.
