Putting a kayak and a girlfriend (or boyfriend) in the same shuttle vehicle weekend after weekend can eventually look a lot like a Terrell Owens and Tony Romo (or Donovan McNabb) relationship: So wonderful when things are going well, but so prone to a conflict.
At some point, many of us have had to answer the question: Who do you love me: me or the kayak? Or the scarier version: “One of us has to go: Me or the kayak? You gotta pick!” For the March/April edition of Paddler magazine, I’d like to run a collection of short stories about this topic. The stories should be no more than 150 words long. Funny, sad, reflective stories are all welcome. So too is advice. Please provide your name, city and state of residence in each submission. ------------- Catch your eddies, Christian |
