Wood portage at exit of gorge. Below Surf n Turf, there''s a final III drop in the gorge. Below that is a log jam with 3 old growth trees and some newer smaller timber. walled in so the portage is on the wood. small stuff might flush, might collect more wood. not recommended for oar rigs with this in place. - Posted by: slickhorn on 2/6/2012 9:56:00 AM -  [Remove Alert]  Wood is still in play at the spot Slickhorn reported in 2012. On a recent trip the wood wasn''t as bad, we were able to boof over a small riverwide log, but there''s still a couple big vertical logs there too and more wood could collect.    Run Description

Mostly easy drifting but the highlight of the run are a series of deep, narrow gorges. The largest gorge contains several nice class III to III+ drops including narrow chutes and small ledges. As the gorges are so narrow, wood blockages are a big concern. Recent wood beta is recommended.
