Putin DetailsFrom Moulton Falls park head east on Lucia Falls road and soon turn right on Sunset Falls run. In a couple miles turn right on Dole Valley road, which immediately crosses the EF Lewis. Continue a few miles on Dole until the road reaches a bridge crossing Rock Creek. Put in here. |
Takeout DetailsContinue down the EF Lewis (http://professorpaddle.com/rivers/riverdetails.asp?riverid=487) and take out above Moulton Falls... or run it if you're feeling ballsy. Just be sure to scout your takeout ahead of time so you don't run it by accident. |

Lots of wood on the entire run! Be very cautios if doing this run. We portaged and dodged a lot and eventually had to walk off. Almost Epic (in a bad way!) - Posted by: Jeff on 1/5/2009 5:58:00 PM -

Other IssuesThere's no gauge on Rock Creek, so you'll want to get a visual on the creek at the put-in. |
Fun FactsThis creek is usually followed by a run down the EF Lewis at Moulton Falls.

Run DescriptionThis run starts off pretty flat. It's narrow, shallow and has overhanging tree branches and at times has wood problems. Sound fun? Well it gets better. A mile or two into the run after a major tributary comes in, rapids start to appear and the first good drop is a nice 7 foot ledge. After the ledge the creek is fun, continuous class 3 to 3+ all the way to the confluence with the EF Lewis... Which will be big if you have enough water to float Rock Creek.
