"Hull has no skeg mounting," yeah that does sound clueless. And what is a "Strap kit for car transport"? But you never know...that does seem a bit high tho for the old model Mamba, as this one has the old school flip switch back band adjustment.

Sketchy craigslist ads usually don't show pictures of the boat and certainly not people, will purposely call the boat by the wrong name or not name it at all and will be dirt cheap for a quick sale.

This ad doesn't look sketchy to me at all.

Often times, folks will buy all the stuff for any given hobby, but never really participate enough to get to know the lingo like all us cool kids.

Like Chipper said, this guy sounds like more of a sea kayaker and I suspect probably not a native born American, which often means kind of odd language.
