Just drove up for a recon. All of Icicle is open for business. Lots of rain last night. The water is a mossy bronze color.

The Upper will be good today, for those who like lots of water (its on the high side). There may be new wood in the chunk of rapids immediately below Roadside Attraction. Stay right. And, don't forget the log choking the left channel immediately below Log Limbo. It is still chocked between boulder and bank on the left like last year.
(And yes, the road is open)

The Middle (Ricochete etc.) is big burly gnar today. Paddled it a bunch this week before flows boosted up. As of then it was squeaky clean of wood, but keep an eye out as flows fluctuate in the weeks to come.

The Lower looks about perfect today. Big enough to feel big, but it boats better this way, having all the small rock covered up. It is probably what Goldilocks would run today: "just right".

Ricochet has wood on the lower half - river left. It is along the bank, but pretty blind. It is a nasty piece. If you stay in the middle it's all good to go.The wood is below ricochet rock and about 25' downstream of the view log that is perched out over the river.

Actually, that is correct. Good to point out. Not really "in play" but hazardous if you were over there. It chokes up a kayak-wide slot through rocks on R. Left. About where you'd put in to run "Son Of Ricochete" after portaging Ricochete proper.
