Call Alpine Adventures and ask for Steve Fore. He's not the most popular guy around but he gets a kick out of hooking people up with boats. He always knows of something for sale. I know there is a guy in Index that has all of the old Alpine Stiletto's and he might be up for selling one...Steve may know some other boats for sale too....

If he wants it for fishing, just about any good quality boat will do..., except for maybe an AIRE Force... any other AIRE boat should be fine... in fact the new Outfitter model would probably great since it's super stable you could fish from it real well and carry lots of stuff.

I know the Stilletto gets a lot of praise and indeed it's a great boat, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a fishing IK... you'd probably want something with a drier ride... like an AIRE or Sotar or NRS.

If you don't want to spend alot, I'd either shoot for a newer AIRE Tomcat or find a used AIRE Lynx that's 10 years old or more (unless it was really abused, 10 years is nothing to a Lynx, I beat the hell out of my first one that I got in 1995 for many years and it still does fine)

I'd check on NRS classified ad section, used IKs come up in there quite often. Also you can check Sotar's sale page, they sometimes have demos or used boats on sale (their new boats are $$$$$).
