Hey I am interested, that's why I tuned in.. I was actually hoping to get out there on Saturday, even if as a piece of driftwood.
You seem on edge man, I didn't mean any offense.
And I definitely didn't do any Leif bashing, I was taking his side for christ's sake!
Anyway, sorry to ruin your monologue.

just an Idea here. maybe you guys with some time off mid week (jealous, yes..) could take a bow saw (or maybe battery powered saw-zall) with you tomorrow and cut that wood out of garbage, flow permitting of course. I already made some progress but the flows were to high @ 5.2-3 to cut it out due to water going over the log. I believe anything under 5.1 would work. I will try again this weekend if flows allow, but if the predictors right then it probably wont happen.
So you know, if you tie a rope around the river left side that big ass tree that spans the river overhead, you can quickly body rappel down to the log where there is good footing. i would suggest at least 2 people work on it cause 1 dude is going to get tired fast.
good luck and thanks ahead of time!

We'll see how it goes this week- not sure what time I'll have off yet, and the flows look too high as you said. If I can get out midweek I'll take one in with me.
We also need to line up some one to set safety there if we can't get it out before the event. So-- anyone who runs Robe regularly but is not planning on racing may want to consider parking there with a throwbag, day of.
