The river day will be on the Sky unless conditions are crazy high. The second day will be at the Waterfront Activities Center in Seattle.

This looks like a great event!   I have a question about boat lenght restrictions.    On the website it says playboat and long boat catergories, what are the min/max lenght for each?

   Hey Guys,
Thanks so much for organizing this event. This looks AWESOME. I'll register as soon as I finish this post. I'd like to mention two things: 1.) What would you say about starting the advanced class at the Confluence and ending it at Split Rock? I don't know if this will screw up your plans. So don't let me be a backseat driver. However, that extra chunk will double the race times to 15 to 20 minutes. From Boulder Drop down will be about 10 to 12 minutes. 2.) I'd like to compete in the kayak polo tournament, but I need a team. Anybody out there want to play. And I'm looking at you Nick, Scott Waidelich and any other kayakers who play basketball. I played in a kayak polo tournament in Hood River. And it was super fun.   Thanks again for organizing this. The events are creative and practical at the same time. |

We have to cutoff for playboats at 80'' and there is no cut off for long boats! We ask people to also use their best judgment, if its near the cutoff mark but is clearly ment to a river runner place your self in the long boat category.

We want to keep the start at Boulder Drop so we can control traffic there without having to stop people and deal with timing issues. With that said everyone will leave from the River House and float down on the own (allowing for people to warm up) and then they officially start at their location (Confluence or BD).

That sounds like a good plan, Janelle. I figured you were dealing with other variables, of which I was unaware. I think with the playboat race and the long boat race, I'll get a good workout. Hey Will: Sounds good. I need to check with my family to make sure I can do both Saturday and Sunday. But it'd be awesome to have some teammates. |

I second that, it was an awesome production! Thanks for all the hard work everyone. Word of mouth is that the trick contest was won by Rob McKibbin, and Darren Albright took second. It was a pretty sweet setup - the goal was to pepper a run down Boulder Drop with as many moves as possible. Runs were scored on an Olympic 10 point scale with judges all the way from Latvia, Uruguay, and Canada!!
