This is the Saturday Sauk discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the Saturday Sauk | Trip Page

The river was great last Sunday, or so I am told. An absent spray skirt kept me ashore. I would like to hit it again tomarrow and actually get to paddle it!

Meeting at Clear Creek Bridge at 10:30. We should have mid level flows by then. Call me if you are coming.

Once I forgot my spray skirt on the Middle Middle and I drove around until I found some boats in a yard nearby... knocked on the door and was graciously given a skirt. As I paddled by the slalomn course I dropped it off.... The rest of the paddle was a bit wet.

Sucks that you had to bag er... Next Time Make the check list and then lay off burning the confiscated goods until after the trip. That Devil Weed can make you loose your mind!

Haha.  I was there that evening.  Everything was going well until you came closer to that splat rock and, well, you just couldn't control yourself, now, could you?  Watching you sink further and further in the water, I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants.

I think my ability to execute self control has been demonstrated in the recent threads.

If the same situation played it self out again.... I would of course be sinkin.

But on a separate note, I have not left my skirt at home since that day, PFD and Dry top are a different story but the skirt I got nailed down. Luckily both days that I left the PFD and Drytop behind I scored loaners from local residents.

If anyone ever needs to score some gear at the putin of the Lower Cedar, I'm your man. Just stop by and I will return the favors!

Wish I could but I'll be in Idaho.  Sitting in a hot tub.  Oh yeah.

Most recent gauge reading off the USGS website is 5,310 and rising fast. Could end up being a big water trip.

Looks like the gauge isn't updating properly for the Sauk right now - current level as of 4PM is 5200cfs and rising nicely.  I'm likely to hop on this Kyle and will call you in the morning to confirm.  I'm nursing a shoulder injury and just want to make sure it isn't bothering me too much come morning.

I have taken to bringing spares on almost everything.  I pack my usual stuff in one bag and then bring a backpack that has the back-up drytop, helmet, sprayskirt, booties, beer and have a breakdown paddle in the boat.  Not sure about fitting a spare boat in the backpack though

Damn - I have to hit the Sauk some day.
